Air disinfection

In-room air treatment

Infection Management Ltd can provide you with a range of tried and tested UV units for in-room air disinfection.

Helios upper-air units provide 24-hour protection to the occupants of the room, by using natural air convection to treat and circulate the air. Air movement results in an exchange of air between the upper and lower parts of the room so that the disinfected air mixes with the untreated air. This reduces the total air contamination to a fraction of that existing before the UV lamps were switched on. The louvred protection built in to each unit removes any risk of significant UV exposure.

Upper-air UVGI may be used in a variety of health-care situations, for example: wards and treatment rooms, operating theatres, waiting rooms, accident and emergency departments, corridors, reception areas, bathrooms, and other spaces where visitors, staff or patients could potentially contaminate the air.

Our wall, ceiling, hall and corner-mounted range of models makes it possible to specify a cost-effective pattern of air treatment for all sizes and configurations of rooms.

Whole building air treatment

We also have a range of units designed to fit inside air-conditioning systems (either built in, or retro-fitted). These provide the same disinfection benefits as our in-room units but use the forced circulation of the HVAC system to draw air over the UV lamps.

Surface disinfection

Our Helios HD-01 mobile unit is designed for the safe intense irradiation and disinfection of surfaces and heavily-contaminated rooms. It is fitted with a safety cutout, automatic dosing sensors and a remote wireless control.

For decontamination of equipment, our enclosed UV cabinet is ideal for smaller items that need to be disinfected, and allows the rest of the room to be used while it is in operation.

For disinfection of ambulances and other medical transports: our HD-AD vehicle-mounted unit is permanently installed, and can be used at the end of the working day to safely disinfect the vehicle.
